Welcoming the Formerly Homeless into Our Community
When homeless individuals find homes, they continue to face challenges. How do we see the newly housed when they come to live among us? Do we see former homeless people? Addicts? Victims? Do we label them with terms from their past?
You are invited to a free talk that addresses these and other issues from a spiritual perspective, a perspective that sees others as they – and we – really are: God’s creation, through the lens of Christian Science. It’s entitled:
by Timothy Myers, C.S.,
a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
He has been presenting talks of this type to a variety of audiences,
including the homeless and those who serve them. After his lecture,
there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
